When Randall-Paulson Architects approached Office Interiors about partnering to design and furnish the new headquarters for third generation owned, Milton, GA-based real estate development and investment company Orkin & Associates, OI president Bill Coons and his team eagerly accepted the opportunity to work with the renowned architectural firm.
Randall-Paulson and Office Interiors joined talents and creative forces to transform a 4,000 square foot space in the Crabapple Mercantile Exchange building in downtown Crabapple and design the new headquarters for this prominent firm with a rich history. Creating a balanced mix of old and new in its design, Randall-Paulson used exposed concrete, reclaimed wood and one-of-a-kind sliding barn doors, floating ceilings and vertical wall elements throughout the space. Office Interiors selected all of the furnishings, including light and airy finishes and clean-lined furniture, to complement the space design and bring warmth to this lofty industrial space.
“While architects and furniture companies often work together, Randall-Paulson appreciated our design experience and turned to us, knowing that we would embrace a total collaborative effort where our furniture selection would work in harmony with their space design and support all of their goals,” says Bill Coons. “Working as one team on behalf of Orkin also ensured a more seamless process that resulted in a beautifully designed and highly functional workspace for our client.”
