Five Years of Trust. Six Floors of Proof.

What makes a complex, multi-year headquarters renovation succeed?  Not just expertise, but the kind of deep collaboration that turns a project team into a unified partnership.

Five years of trust, built project by project

Since 2021, Office Interiors has partnered with Finnegan across a series of office refreshes and remodels, multiple offices, multiple phases, multiple stakeholder groups.  What has kept this relationship strong isn’t a contract.  It’s a shared commitment to accountability, clear communication, and doing right by every person invested in the outcome.

When Finnegan selected Office Interiors to lead furniture planning and procurement for their Washington, DC headquarters renovation in 2024, it was the most ambitious chapter of our partnership yet.

A living, occupied headquarters transformed in three phases.

The Finnegan DC project was a phased remodel of the client’s occupied Washington, DC headquarters,  a challenge that demands more than good furniture. It required discipline, foresight, and a partner who understood that the work never stops just because construction has begun.

Phase One: Private Lobby Entrance. 7th floor meeting rooms, private associate offices, and internal department areas.

Phase Two: Floors 8 and 9 — private offices, collaborative zones, and supporting department spaces.

Phase Three: Floors 10 & 11: Partner and Associate offices, client-facing conference center, Sky Gardens, MPR Room, and department areas. Final delivery: St. Patrick’s Day, 2026.

In addition to furniture, Office Interiors supplied and coordinated the demountable glass wall systems for all new conference rooms across floors 7, 8, and 9, an important scope element that required close alignment with the general contractor and critical sub-contractors throughout each phase.

Partnership isn’t a talking point. It’s a way of working.

A renovation of this scope and complexity doesn’t succeed through any single relationship. It succeeds when every partner, on every side of the project, is working from the same playbook, toward the same outcome.

This project required us to be at the table with architects, designers, general contractor, project managers, AV specialists, and Finnegan’s own stakeholder teams, simultaneously, over two years.

The conference center and meeting floors alone required exceptional coordination across all trades.  With so many technology-integrated spaces, furniture sequencing, installation timing, and technical clearances had to align precisely. That kind of coordination doesn’t happen by accident; it happens when partners treat each other’s work with the same respect they bring to their own.

Project stakeholders included:

  • Client: Finnegan
  • Architecture & Design: Studio Alliance
  • General Contractor: HITT
  • Project Management: C2C
  • Technology Integration: TAD
  • Furniture & Procurement: Office Interiors

Connecting the right partners for a responsible outcome.

Partnership extends beyond the project itself. Through our relationship with Teknion, our manufacturing partner, we introduced Finnegan to Divert, Teknion’s dedicated decommissioning and diversion program.  From there, the Divert team took full ownership of the process, managing execution from start to finish.

Result: 99.9% landfill diversion rate achieved by Divert across Finnegan decommissioning work, keeping materials out of landfills through donation, resale, and recycling pathways.

Built on trust. Proven through delivery.

Over five years, the relationship between Finnegan and Office Interiors has grown through consistent collaboration, accountability, and shared commitment to the outcome.

The Washington, DC headquarters renovation stands as the strongest example yet a complex, multi-phase transformation completed through close coordination, mutual trust, and a partner-first approach at every stage.
