Restoring the Hurt

New York real estate firm Gamma Real Estate, with local operating partner Dion Meltzer, bought the 18-story Hurt building for almost $33.6 million. It is one of many projects that is bringing life and energy back into downtown Atlanta. We are thrilled to be a part of it.

The historical Hurt will attract younger generations to increase the vibe in the city. It will be home to the private, nonprofit institution, Herzing University which is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the “Best Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs” for the sixth consecutive year. Herzing will move into the 30,000 square foot space on  July 2, 2018. It is a quick move.

On the ground level there will be an inspirational marketing suite and collaborative space where students can grab their latte at Starbucks next door. On the 4thfloor, we are designing highly specialized classrooms for nursing and IT, bright and inviting administrative spaces, a library for focus and an energetic student lounge.

Thanks to a wonderful team we will be able to get them in the space by July 2.  Thank you Kirk Diamond and team at Cushman & Wakefield for the collaboration!
